Inclusive Education

Here at MMA we strive to provide a learning environment to meet the needs of our diverse student population. While academics and the Montessori curriculum are at the heart of what we do, we place an immense amount of importance on Peace Education, and the education of the Whole Child. Social/emotional learning, thus, becomes just as important as academics.

Inclusive learning at MMA can look a lot of different ways. From our on-site Behavioral Therapists and Literacy Specialist, to our partnership with Solace Pediatric Therapy, we value having a team of educators to support the needs of each child. Creating a partnership between teachers, parents, and these specialists ensure an environment where children are being set up for success.

Insight Behavior Partnership

We are thrilled to join forces with the team at Insight Behavior Partnership, so that we can better support children in all of their diverse needs. The on-site behavioral therapist works with MMA in partnering with the guides so that they receive proper training in the latest behavioral techniques, to be applied in the classroom. They also perform regular observations of the classrooms, as well as pull-out sessions with children who qualify for services.

Solace Pediatric Therapy

Solace Pediatric Healthcare provides in-school services to children attending MMA in the form of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. The children who receive services from Solace have made massive strides in emotional regulation, executive functioning skills, and language comprehension. MMA and Solace partner closely with each family in monitoring their child’s development in order to determine if they would benefit from these services.
